Each Sunday, we are blessed with a different speaker and may be wither a Unity Minister, New Thought, Inter-Faither Minister or a special guest speaker. Many of our own congregant are exclent speakers and share their Unity message from their own life experiences.

Music Ministry

Community on the Hill has an active music ministry lead by our Music Director, Barbar Wilkinson assisted by our Music Coordinator, Carol Marie Maus.

Barbara WilkinsonCarol Marie MausCarol Marie Maus is a musician with a master's degree in teaching. She studied voice with the late Dr. Michael Patterson, cross-cultural music and healing with The Open Ear Center founder/director Dr. Pat Moffitt Cook, and the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery & Music with the MidAtlantic Training Institute co-founders/directors Dr. Sierra Stokes Stearns & Carol Bush, M.S.W.

Choir

The CommUnity on the Hill choir, directed by Harlie Sponaugle, is open to anyone who would like to sing. The choir performs only on special occasions and holidays. If you are interesting in singing, contact Harlie Sponaugle.

Dave KaneBorn in 1955 in Glasgow, Scotland, David Kane has been a fixture on the US music scene since 1975 both as a pianist and composer. He is equally comfortable in Jazz and Classical settings. He has performed with notable Jazz Artists such as Woody Shaw, Steve Kujala, Dave Liebman and Dizzy Gillespie. He has also performed extensively with the National Symphony Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony and the Twentieth Century Consort. He is active as a composer of both Classical Music and Film Music with hundreds of Film and TV scores to his name. Since 2006 he has been writing for Cadence Magazine and he also reviews Chess books for chessvideos.com. Board of Directors

Board of Trustees

The governance of COTH is vested in the Board of Trustees as elected from the active membership. Six to twelve trustees each serve a 2-year term on a rotating basis. Elections for the Board are held at the annual membership meting held the first Sunday of November. Board meetings are held approximately every two months on an as needed basis. Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend.Each board member is assigned responsibility to coordinate all church activities for a month on a rotating basis. This includes: scheduling speakers, platform assistants, setting up the worship hall, and writing the article for the CommUnity Newsletter.Collectively, the Board governs the COTH budget, accounting for and making decisions about expenditures, and plans educational and social activities for the membership.Please feel free to contact any board member with suggestions, questions, praise or concerns. An open dialog is a vital element of a loving relationship and we welcome all input.
